Need a place to stay tonight in Las Vegas

If you have nowhere to sleep tonight, start with the Courtyard. It's open every day, all day. Below are the other shelters, who each one takes, and how to get in, from each shelter's own information.

Tonight

1. Go to the Courtyard Homeless Resource Center. 314 Foremaster Lane, Las Vegas. Open 24 hours, 7 days a week. 702-229-6117. You don't need an assessment or appointment to get into an emergency shelter.
2. If you're not safe at home, call SafeNest's 24/7 hotline at 702-646-4981 or S.A.F.E. House at 702-564-3227. Both run confidential shelters. In an emergency, call 911.
3. If you're 24 or younger, call the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth's 24-hour line at 1-866-827-3723. If you're under 18, you can also ask for "Safe Place" on any RTC bus for a free ride to help.
4. For help finding a bed, call 211 or text your zip code to 898211. 211 is staffed Monday to Friday, 9am to 9pm. It's closed on weekends, so on a weekend go straight to the Courtyard.

Getting into housing, not just a bed

For a path to housing, go to any Clark County Social Service office for an assessment, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm (702-455-4270). Single adults can also be assessed at the Courtyard or Catholic Charities. Qualifying households go on a waiting list, and you have to stay in touch with your worker to keep your place. Catholic Charities' Housing Navigation Center also helps individuals and families find permanent housing: 702-473-5684, weekdays. If you're about to lose your home but haven't yet, see Help paying rent and I got an eviction notice.

Extreme heat

During extreme heat, Clark County opens daytime cooling stations, and the Courtyard is listed as one, open 24 hours. Some cooling stations take pets in a carrier or on a leash.
