A 72-year-old woman riding as a passenger died after a two-vehicle crash at the T intersection of Mountain Vista Street and Rawhide Street on Oct. 26 at about 9:10 p.m., the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said.

Police said a Mitsubishi Outlander was turning left from northbound Mountain Vista onto westbound Rawhide when a southbound Toyota Solara struck its passenger side. The Mitsubishi hit a raised curb on the southwest corner and overturned onto its driver's side. The Toyota stopped in the southbound lanes of Mountain Vista.

Medical crews tried to save the woman but she was pronounced dead at the scene. Both drivers, a 76-year-old man and an 18-year-old man, were taken to Sunrise Trauma with moderate injuries. Police said impairment is not suspected, and the department's Collision Investigation Section is investigating.

The crash is the 99th traffic-related death in the department's jurisdiction this year.
