Look up a Clark County court case
The first question isn't where to search — it's which court actually has your case. Clark County has more than one.
What to do first
1. Figure out which court. Most everyday civil matters — evictions, small
claims, misdemeanors, traffic — sit in a Justice Court (there are several across Clark County,
by township). Felonies and larger civil cases sit in the Eighth Judicial District Court.
2. If you were a party in the case, the paperwork you were served or filed
will say which court and give you a case number — that's the fastest way in.
3. If you don't have a case number, the courts take name-based record
requests, in person or by phone — it just isn't a guessing game you should do alone.
4. Use the Self-Help Center if you're not sure which court has your matter,
or if you need help reading what's already on file.
Programs and help that apply
Clark County Family Court Self-Help Center — free help
figuring out which court and how to request records, no attorney required.
Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada — free help if the case
is actually yours and you need to respond to something in it.
This desk has not yet read which Clark County courts publish a public online case-search tool
versus requiring an in-person or phone request, so no search link is given here. Guessing one
would send you to a page that may not exist. 211 can also point you to
the right courthouse.
